Leisure activities
Living outside of the city luckily doesn’t mean that you have to give up great restaurants, festivals, shopping, conserts or theatre. At least not in Orkland.
And come the weekend, no need to worry about what to do with the family! Orkland has a modern water park, climbing hall, movie theatre and lots of playgrounds.
Nature
Do you love nature and the great outdoors? Then Orkland is the place for you. We have both fjords, beautiful mountains and great fishing waters. If you’re a fan of hiking, cycling and skiing, we kan promise you that you will find many options all around Orkland. All this thanks to our local volunteer sporting organizations that spend hours making trails for us all to enjoy!
Shopping
Orkanger is a shopping centre for nearly 50 000 people in the region. Here you will find the big chains and the small local niche shops. Orkanger has everything you may need – and then some.
The two big malls in Orkland are Amfi Orkanger with 54 different shops and Amfi Oti with 17 different shops. In the city centre you can find stores that sell interior, clothes, yarn and flowers, for instance.
In Løkken Verk you can go shopping for sporting equipment, plants and building materials.

Teams and organizations
Orkland has a lot of vibrant teams and organizations, mostly thanks to volunteers! Here you can find a club or team for almost anything – such as soccer, handball, gymnastics, swimming, climbing and cross country skiing. You can also join a wine club, art association or an organization for fishers and hunters.
